History

The bi-national Schmidt-group was established by the married couple Schmidt 30 years ago. The Group consists of the German companies Schmidt Im- und Export GmbH & Co.KG, Storkoeb, Superslik, Schmidt Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co.KG, Freizeitdiscounter und Beautyshop and the Danish companies Intercos, Parfumediscount Odense Import Export.

In the beginning Christmas trees and flowers were traded. The opening of the first boarder market Lavpris ins Aventoft happened straightaway. Further boarder markets and perfumeries in Süderlügum and Harrislee were established later.

Increasingly complex business contacts have been developed from the boarder trade therefore the Schmidt Im- und Export GmbH & Co.KG was established in 1993.
Our trading company exports continuously various products such as toiletries, confectionary, detergents, spirits, soft drinks and many more in 35 countries. More than 100 employer have found an demanding and social workplace at the Schmidt’s.
