History
The Schmidt Group, which on the German side currently comprises the companies Schmidt Import Export GmbH & Co.KG, Schmidt Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co.KG, gutes.de – WebShop and Beautyshop was founded 35 years ago by Mr and Mrs Schmidt.
Although the trade initially centred on fir trees and flowers, the first border market, Lavpris, soon opened in Aventoft. Further border markets and perfumeries were later established in Süderlügum and Harrislee.
The first perfumery opened in Aarhus (Denmark) in 1991. Further perfumeries followed on the Danish side in the years that followed.
Over time, increasingly complex business relationships developed in the cross-border trade sector, leading to the establishment of Schmidt Import Export in 2001.
Today, the trading company regularly exports a wide range of goods, including toiletries, confectionery, cleaning products, spirits, beverages and much more, to 35 countries.

Packaging
Schmidt Im- und Export operates several online shops. Thanks to our packaging team, we can not only prepare goods for parcel delivery, but also repackage, label or pick small quantities of goods for you.
